I've been acting since I was a child and have performed in numerous plays and musicals in  regional theaters, tours, and NYC. I worked for years doing children's theater tours and received my equity card from the Theater for Young Audiences tour of "Story Salad" which presented well known children's books on stage. My first off-off Broadway gig was playing an Italian (yes, we know...I look nothing like that) in a small play in the early 90s. I also appeared numerous times on Saturday Night Live, the television show Tattingers, and then toured the country in both The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.

Some favorite roles include: Edward Bloom in Big Fish, Dan in Next to Normal, Whizzer in Falsettos, Gordon in A New Brain, Man #2 in Das Barbecu, Alan Turing in A Most Secret War, Francis in  Forever Plaid, the preacher in Violet, Hero in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Buddy in The Diviners.

Directing & Producing

As someone who has produced, directed, and written for the stage, I've always wanted to expand into the world of film. I've spent several years creating videos for shows I would direct or produce. Writing them, editing them, sometimes directing how I wanted them to turn out. I took great enjoyment in creating these small marketing tools. In 2006 I directed a stage production of the musical Kiss of the Spider Woman and because of the main character of Molina's obsession with film being so prevalent in that show, I decided to add a film toward the end of the play. I wrote a short (Molina's Movie), Kristofer Updike directed it, it was shot in a day, and my first film short was viewed by all those that attended the play.

Projects: Director/Screenwriter/Producer for award-winning short film Mother.

Logline: As a young man lays dying, the depths to which a mom will go for the

love of a child are discovered.

I directed my first show in my backyard as a child, but that was only the beginning of what was to come. By my freshman year in high school, I was writing and directing for a local children's theater company in my hometown outside of Dallas, Texas.

I have directed and produced assorted cabarets, concerts, musicals, plays, children’s theater productions (some of which some have been nominated and won awards) for numerous theater companies; served as Artistic Director for 4th Wall Theatre 2004-2010, managed the Westminster Arts Center at Bloomfield College from 2006-May of 2014, and currently serve as the Theater Manager for the historic Irvington Town Hall Theater in Irvington, NY.

Some stage shows I have directed include: [title of show]The Life, I Do! I Do!Dessa RoseThe RinkKiss of the Spider WomanBig RiverThe Music Man, Tiny Island, La Cage Aux FollesTo Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, and Betty’s Summer Vacation. While serving as Artistic Director of 4th Wall Theatre, I acted as producer on several productions and helped launch the M.I.D. (Musicals-in-Development) Stage Series in 2006 that presented new musical works from emerging composers and writers while the works were still in development phases.Have a project looking for a director?
